Helping pets and performance animals recover, move better, and thrive since 1999.
DYG Physiotherapy was founded in 1999 by Donna Griffiths MSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC, and Category A member of ACPAT. Today, it is one of the North West's leading providers of small animal and human physiotherapy. The practice operates from:
We also offer home visits where appropriate. Our team specialises in small animal rehabilitation and human musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with collaborative care between owners, GPs, consultants, and veterinary surgeons.
Donna qualified in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire. After relocating to the North West in 1998, she combined her passion for small animals with her NHS career in human physiotherapy.
She holds registration with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed a City & Guilds Level II in Canine Studies in 2000, and in 2003 became a full ACPAT Category A member after additional specialist training. She also holds an MSc in Research and Development from UCLan and a Postgraduate Certificate in Injection Therapy.
Donna currently works in the NHS as a Specialist Orthopaedic Practitioner Physiotherapist with Lancashire Care Foundation Trust. She collaborates with GPs and consultants on complex musculoskeletal diagnoses and treatment planning. Her dual background enables her to transfer expertise between human and animal physiotherapy—providing the most up-to-date, cross-disciplinary care.
She also actively contributes to physiotherapy research, collaborating with postgraduate and PhD students at UCLan.
